Parent Covenant

Because we believe that education is only possible when there is support in the home, we ask the parents of Hope Academy students to renew their commitment to our Parent Covenant each year. The following is the covenant that we ask parents to sign:

In recognition of the promises of Hope Academy to provide your child with an outstanding Christ-centered education, and that my child’s success in school depends largely on my support and involvement:

  • I accept the school's mission statement, beliefs, and strategies of education that are in accordance with the Word of God and Biblical virtues.
  • I agree to support the school in upholding its rules and policies as outlined in the Parent-School Handbook. As a parent, I am responsible for the behavior and actions of my child.
  • I agree to participate in mandatory parent activities, including two Saturday Schools, two parent-teacher conferences and 10 hours of parent volunteer service.
  • I agree to pay the "Fair Share" portion of my child's tuition that has been mutually agreed upon by parent and the school.
  • I agree to provide a supportive, educational environment for my child, which includes:
    • I will make sure my child arrives at Hope every day by the start of school (Mon.-Fri.)
    • I will make sure my child follows the Hope Academy dress code.
    • I will ensure that my child attends the Hope Summer Session
    • I will check my child's homework every night, try to read with him/her every night, and limit the amount of television he/she watches.
Failure to adhere to these commitments can cause my student to lose various privileges and can lead to my child's removal from Hope Academy.

The H.O.P.E. Values

Core Values of the Hope Academy Community:

Beginning in sixth grade, we ask our students to commit themselves to embracing and upholding the H.O.P.E. Values. As our students mature, we believe that they should begin to take ownership of these values themselves.

Honor for God and others
1. We treat God as worthy of the greatest honor and respect in the universe.
2. We honor one another and treat our brothers and sisters as we wish to be treated.
3. We honor the truth by being honest with one another.
4. We honor those who correct us because correction is for our good.

Optimism for the future
1. We do not pout or whine because we know that God is for us.
2. We rejoice in the Lord always.
3. We eagerly seek to learn all we can.

Perseverance in adversity
1. We do not give up when life is hard; we keep trying.
2. We trust God to help us overcome every obstacle.
3. We will not give in to a victim mentality.
4. We follow all directions the first time.

Excellence in everything
1. We are committed to the highest levels of achievement.
2. We do not make excuses, but we take responsibility for our choices.
3. We do not do things half way.
4. We take initiative instead of waiting to be given directions.
